After almost a year of thinking about blogging, it looks like I have finally committed to it. Yay me!
I guess I should start by introducing myself: I just started my tenth year of teaching, all at the same school in the Metro Atlanta area. In those ten years, I have bounced around between third grade and fourth grade. I describe it as bouncing around because I have looped up twice from third grade to fourth grade. It was an awesome experience!
I am currently teaching fourth grade in a gifted inclusion classroom. What does that mean? Well about 1/3 of my class is gifted and 1/3 is students with special needs. I have a full-time special education teacher in my room for LA and Math. It's a crazy combination at times, but I love it all the time.
